AIEEE 2011 Paper Leaked in UP - Reschedule of AIEEE, AFMC

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2011 was deferred by a few hours on Sunday (1st May 2011) after the Uttar Pradesh STF clued-up the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) that the question paper of the prestigious entrance exam had been leaked. Uttar Pradesh Special DGP (Law and Order) Brij Lal informed the media that the leaked question paper was recovered by STF officials from Lucknow. It was being sold for up to Rs 6 lakhs in the market as per the DGP of UP. AIEEE 2011 will be held on 8th May 2011 for those candidates appearing for AFMC exam to be held on 1st May 2011.

The AIEEE 2011 exam is for admission to BE/ B.Tech. / B.Arch / B. Planning courses and is held in two parts. The first paper is intended for Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses and the second paper is for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has postponed the first part to 12 noon from the scheduled 9.30 AM. The second part of the AIEEE exam will be held from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm on 1st May 2011. 

CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi told the media that those candidates who are also appearing for the equally prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) examination for MBBS admission will be permitted to appear for the AIEEE on May 8th 2011. The May 8th exam will be held at the same examination centre and the same admit card will be valid for AIEEE 2011 on 8th May. The exam centers which are holding both the AIEEE as well as AFMC exams on 1st May can also choose to hold the AIEEE exam on May 8, 2011 at 9.30 am. With the latest developments, the AFMC exam has also been postponed to 4.30 pm from 2-30 PM. There seems to be a Bihar and Kanpur link has been there for the leak of AIEEE 2011 question paper. About 12 lakh students will be appearing for for AIEEE 2011 across the country at over 1,600 centres in more than 80 cities. 

It is the first time that the AIEEE is being held in the online mode across the country. It is observed that about one lakh candidates from 20 cities will be taking the examination online. Admission to thousands of engineering seats in 30 National Institutes of Technology and about 150 engineering colleges throughout the country will be through AIEEE exam.

  1. CBSE people are conduccting AIEEE exam again for left over candidates on 8th may.I would like to request you people to inivite all the applicants again on the same day so as to judge the students on the basis of same paper as the career of the students depends on it..
