Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will be presented the first Mercy Ravi Award at a function to be held at the Mammen Mappillai Hall here on July 16.
The award, instituted by the Mercy Ravi Foundation, is for the "exemplary contribution to public life by a woman." Union Minister for Defence A.K. Antony will present the award, which carries a purse of Rs.1 lakh and a citation.
The function will be presided over by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and the keynote address will be delivered by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala.
Finance Minister K.M. Mani, Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph, Kottayam District Congress Committee president Kurian Joy, M.A. Yousuf Ali, C.K. Menon, and Mercy Ravi Foundation chairman P.V. Chandran will be present.
