page is a share box that appears on the top right hand corner of the
page. It allows users to share videos and photos to Google+, their
location, comments and posts from the home page itself. Google is
still rolling out this new addition to the public.
While sharing and searching may not be given the same level of
priority, it is clear that this share box is an integral part of
Google's plan to expand their home page capacity.
When you click on the Share button, a new box opens up allowing you to
share content out to Google+. The box appears throughout the search
results page; when you're on one of Google's sites, within Gmail,
Google Map or Google News. If you want to share links on Google Maps
or Google Videos, you can. You can post a status update too; in fact,
you can do that from any Google page you're on (except YouTube).
Up until now, Google's home page has never gone beyond anything but
'searching'. Links leading to other Google services have been there
taking you away from the home page to do your work. Now, one doesn't
have to navigate away from the comfort of Google's home page - you can
transact on it.
