Aircel offer: free Facebook access for 60 days

Aircel offers free Facebook access for 60 days

Aircel LogoAircel has announced its new Facebook for All service today. As a part of which, the telecom operator will be offering free Facebook access (including Facebook apps, Facebook Messenger and mobile site) to all its consumers.

“Over 75 million people access Facebook through their mobile phones in India and more than 60% of Aircel customers who have data enabled handsets consume internet on their phones. Considering this trend, the launch of ‘Facebook for all’ service is a strategic/natural step to re-iterate our commitment towards increasing data proliferation and usage of internet in the country,” said Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel.

Coming to the fine print, under this offer, new Aircel consumers will have free Facebook access for 60 days, while the existing consumers will only get free access for 30 days. Also, the data used as a part of this free access will be limited to 50MB per month, which is not much if you share or view lots of images and videos on Facebook via your mobile device.

Facebook for All will initially be available in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra telecom circles and will be rolled out to rest of the circles soon.

Aircel has also introduced two special tariff packs for Facebook access – INR 14, and INR 5, which will give 100 MB (for 28 days) and 25MB ( for 7 days) of free Facebook usage to the consumers.
